Saudi Arabia plans to build 600,000 new homes by 2030 under Vision 2030, with SAR 220 billion budgeted for development.

Saudi Arabia is planning to construct 600,000 new housing units by 2030 as part of its Vision 2030 plan to boost national home ownership to 70%, according to the National Housing Company (NHC).
The company’s CEO, Mohammed Butti, stated that nearly 300,000 units have already been completed and are set to be delivered by the end of 2025.
To achieve this target, the government has allocated SAR 220 billion, primarily to supply housing units across the Kingdom, with a focus on Riyadh as one of the key development hubs.
Meanwhile, Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing Majid Al-Hogail confirmed that recent agreements signed with Chinese developers during his official visit to Beijing include the construction of 100,000 homes in 2026, forming part of Saudi Arabia’s broader urban development strategy.
