Saudi Arabia has secured the hosting rights for the World Rally Championship, marking the first time the Kingdom will host the prestigious event. The announcement came following a landmark agreement signed on the Italian island of Sardinia, with the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation spearheading the initiative alongside the Saudi Motorsport Company, under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports and in collaboration with the World Rally Championship (WRC).
Scheduled to kick off in 2025, the Saudi Rally will span a decade, showcasing the nation's burgeoning status as a premier destination for global sporting events. The Kingdom's securing of the hosting rights marks the first time such an event has been held in the Middle East since 2011.
