Saudi Domestic Tourism Spending Hits SAR 105 Billion in Q3 2025

Saudi Arabia’s domestic tourism spending reached SAR 105 billion by the end of the third quarter of 2025, marking an 18% increase compared with the same period in 2024, according to Deputy Minister of Tourism Princess Haifa bint Mohammed. The growth reflects strong local travel trends and the sector’s rising economic contribution.

International tourism also accelerated, with arrivals from Europe increasing by 14% and visitors from East Asia and the Pacific up 15%. The Ministry noted that tourism continues to diversify beyond domestic markets as global interest strengthens.

Private accommodation has been one of the sector’s fastest-expanding segments, recording a 1,250% jump in facilities year-on-year. More than 31,000 licences for rural lodges and private hospitality homes have now been issued, offering travellers wider lodging options across the Kingdom.

Total tourism spending for 2025 has reached an estimated SAR 275 billion, supported by 5,700 newly issued tourism licences — a 40% increase year-to-date.
