Saudi E-Commerce via mada Hits Record SAR 30.7 Billion
Online payments through the mada debit network rose 68% year-on-year in October, setting a new monthly record.
Saudi Arabia’s e-commerce sales processed through the mada debit network reached a monthly record of SAR 30.7 billion (USD 8.19 billion) in October 2025, according to figures released by the Saudi Central Bank.
The total marked a 68% year-on-year increase from SAR 18.3 billion (USD 4.88 billion) recorded in October 2024. On a month-on-month basis, e-commerce sales rose by 6%, adding around SAR 1.6 billion (USD 430 million) compared with September’s SAR 29.1 billion (USD 7.76 billion).
Quarterly data also showed continued momentum. E-commerce transactions via mada reached SAR 88.3 billion (USD 23.55 billion) in the third quarter of 2025, representing growth of 15.2% compared with the previous quarter. This reflects an increase of approximately SAR 11.6 billion (USD 3.09 billion) from SAR 76.6 billion (USD 20.43 billion) recorded in the second quarter.
From January to October 2025, monthly e-commerce sales expanded by 47.3%, rising by about SAR 9.9 billion (USD 2.64 billion) from SAR 20.9 billion (USD 5.57 billion) at the start of the year.
The figures cover transactions carried out using mada cards across e-commerce websites, mobile applications and digital wallets, and exclude payments made via credit cards.
