Saudi Film ‘Mahmoul Makfoul’ Will Star an All-Female Lead Cast
The film features Saudi actresses Khairia Abu Laban, Nermin Mohsen and Egyptian actress Angie Wagdan in the lead roles.
Production has begun on a new Saudi action-comedy film titled ‘Mahmoul Makfoul’ with an all-female lead cast. Starring Saudi actresses Khairia Abu Laban and Nermin Mohsen, as well as Egyptian actress Angie Wagdan, in the lead roles, the film features an pan-Arab cast from across the MENA region, and will be shot in Riyadh and Istanbul.
The film centres around three actresses journeying from Riyadh to Istanbul to meet their favourite Turkish soap opera star - and, in a comedic turn of events, they end up being accused of kidnapping the star themselves.
The film is directed by Karim Abu Zeid, director of Netflix’s ‘11:11’, and is written by Noha Saadi.
