Saudi Trade Surplus Hits SAR 22.3 Billion in November 2025

Saudi Arabia’s trade balance recorded a surplus of SAR 22.3 billion in November 2025, marking a 70.2% increase compared to SAR 13.1 billion in November 2024. The surplus also rose 5.2% month on month, adding SAR 1.1 billion from October 2025, when the balance stood at approximately SAR 21.3 billion, according to the General Authority for Statistics’ international trade bulletin.

Total international trade in November reached around SAR 177.1 billion, comprising merchandise exports of SAR 99.7 billion and imports of SAR 77.4 billion.

Non-oil national exports totalled approximately SAR 18.9 billion, representing 19% of overall merchandise exports. This reflects a 4.7% year-on-year increase, equivalent to SAR 851 million, compared to SAR 18.1 billion in November 2024.

Petroleum exports exceeded SAR 67 billion, accounting for 67.2% of total merchandise exports. This marks a 5.4% annual increase of more than SAR 3 billion from SAR 63.6 billion a year earlier. Re-exports reached SAR 13.7 billion, up 53.1% year on year, representing 13.8% of total merchandise exports.

Asian countries remained the leading destination for Saudi exports, accounting for 75.2% of total exports at SAR 74.9 billion. European countries followed at 9.7% (SAR 9.7 billion), while American countries represented 7.5% (SAR 7.5 billion). China retained its position as the largest individual export destination, accounting for 13.5% of total exports, valued at SAR 13.5 billion.

For non-oil exports, including re-exports, goods passed through 31 land, sea and air customs ports, with a combined value of SAR 32.7 billion. King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah recorded the highest value at SAR 5.6 billion, followed by Jeddah Islamic Port at SAR 3.6 billion.
