School Radio Programs to Spotlight Grand Egyptian Museum Opening

In anticipation of the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum on November 1st, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education has directed all schools nationwide to launch special radio programs focused on Egypt’s cultural heritage and the museum’s historic significance. Schools will broadcast short educational segments highlighting Egypt’s ancient civilisation and the importance of preserving its artefacts. The segment will run across all schools from October 28th to November 6th, 2025. In addition to the radio broadcasts, the ministry announced two nationwide student competitions: a journalism contest titled The Grand Egyptian Museum for preparatory and secondary students, and a media coordination contest for primary-level students. The winning entries from each educational stage will be submitted to the General Administration of Cultural, Artistic, and Social Activities by November 30th, 2025.
