Sharjah Launches Digital Platform for Rental Disputes

The Sharjah Judicial Council has launched a digital platform for rental disputes, enabling virtual hearings, enforceable rulings and secure digital archiving of case decisions. The system introduces a fully digital process for handling rental cases, aimed at improving efficiency, accessibility and transparency across judicial procedures.
The launch took place during the Judicial Council’s Partners Forum at the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, attended by senior officials, judicial leaders and strategic partners.
According to Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Judicial Department, the platform reflects ongoing efforts to develop an advanced digital justice system centred on user experience and operational efficiency.
The system was developed in cooperation with the Aqari platform, affiliated with the Sharjah Digital Department, consolidating all stages of litigation from filing to judgment within a unified digital framework. Data presented during the event showed that more than 360,000 rental contracts were registered in 2025, while the Rental Disputes Centre resolved over 15,000 cases in the same period.
Officials said the initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance judicial services through technology, including the formation of specialised work teams and expanded cooperation with federal and local entities.
