Speak Up Partners With Pornhub to Remove Non-Consensual Videos

Egyptian feminist platform ‘Speak Up’ has announced a new partnership with pornography video-sharing website Pornhub to facilitate complaints and remove non-consensual videos. Speak Up stated on their page that they have joined Pornhub’s Trusted Flagger Program.

“Through this partnership, we’ll be able to contribute to Pornhub’s extensive content moderation processes, helping create a safer online space. This program enables us to immediately report and remove content that may violate their Terms of Service, such as potentially non-consensual videos,” Speak Up shared in a statement.

Founded in 2020, Speak Up gained prominence for advocating against sexual violence in Egypt, playing a key role in what was dubbed the country’s ‘Me Too Movement.’ Over the past five years, the platform has worked to raise awareness and expose serial sexual predators.

Speak Up also regularly receives and encourages victims of sexual violence to reach out for support and consultations through their page @speakup.00.
