Sphinx Intl Airport Reopens With Flights to Sharm El Sheikh for COP27
The newly renovated Sphinx International Airport will initially operate 12 weekly domestic flights to Sharm El Sheikh.

After a slew of renovations, Giza’s Sphinx International Airport will once again receive flights on November 1st, just in time for the COP27 UN Climate Change Conference in Sharm El Sheikh.
Air Cairo, a low-cost national airline, will operate 12 weekly domestic flights between Sphinx International Airport to Sharm El Sheikh International Airport.
The renovations incorporated a new 7.5 megawatts capacity power plant, eight escalators, six elevators, 20 passport counters and 26 check-in counters, tripling the airport’s capacity up to 900 passengers per hour.
