The Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency has partnered with the governorate of South Sinai to host a week-long series of talks to raise awareness on climate change and sustainability, ahead of the COP27 UN Climate Change Conference.
The awareness convoy will travel through the South Sinai towns of Ras Sudr, St. Catherine, Ras Abu Rudeis and Abu Zenima.
The workshops will engage with local communities and schools, aiming to promote individual and collective climate action across different segments of Egyptian society. The workshops look to teach high school students about recycling and technological waste management, while panel discussions will tackle sustainability and climate change at large.
