The 44th King Abdulaziz Quran Competition Begins This August
Taking place in Makkah, the international competition will come with a prize pool of SAR 4 million.
The 44th iteration of the King Abdulaziz Quran competition begins this August in Makkah. The international competition consists of five categories, namely the memorization of the Quran with accurate recitation and intonation, memorization of the Quran along with interpretation, memorization of 15 parts of the Quran with proper recitation and intonation, memorization of five parts of the Quran with correct recitation and intonation, and a category for shorter lengths of memorization with corresponding recitation and intonation requirements.
The prize pool for the competition is SAR 4 million; in the first category, the top three winners will receive SAR 500,000, SAR 450,000 and SAR 400,000 respectively. The closing ceremony will take place at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
