Tree Cutting in Cairo Now Requires Governor Approval

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber has mandated that no trees within the governorate should be cut or heavily pruned without prior approval. Under this new regulation, the cutting or heavy pruning of trees is strictly prohibited unless the matter is presented to and approved by a specialized committee operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Environment.

This decision is effective immediately.
