TripAdvisor: Tourist Bookings to Egypt Increase 44% in 2025

According to a report on TripAdvisor booking data, tourist reservations in Egypt, including confirmed hotel stays, guided tours, and activity bookings made through the platform, grew 44% in the first ten months of 2025.

The report also reveals that travellers worldwide are showing increased interest in authentic experiences rooted in local culture, namely multi-generational tourism, with demand for a range of activities that suit all family members. The figure does not refer to general interest or search traffic, but to confirmed bookings.

The report was discussed by Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy and senior TripAdvisor officials at World Travel Market London 2025, where plans were made to strengthen cooperation between the two entities to strengthen Egypt's digital presence on global travel platforms. The officials underlined the importance of promoting non-typical Egyptian destinations as part of an integrated experience that reflects the diversity of the country's touristic offerings. A series of joint workshops will be held to examine key motivators for travel to Egypt and strengthen the analysed attributes so that programmes can align with traveller preferences across different markets.
