UAE Launches Mohamed Bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity
The foundation aims to improve healthcare and support disadvantaged communities across 50 countries.

The UAE has launched the Mohamed Bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity, a global philanthropic initiative dedicated to advancing human potential and improving opportunities for disadvantaged communities. Announced on Zayed Humanitarian Day, the foundation will operate under Erth Zayed Philanthropies and collaborate with international partners to invest in sustainable healthcare initiatives.
Over the next five years, the foundation aims to reach more than 500 million people across 50 countries in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, focusing on healthcare, economic development, and community empowerment.
Among its key programmes is the Reaching the Last Mile Fund, a 10-year, USD 500 million initiative dedicated to combating polio, malaria and neglected tropical diseases.
The foundation’s establishment follows a decree by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, aligning with Zayed Humanitarian Day on Ramadan 19, which honours the philanthropic legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The foundation was officially introduced during a meeting at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, where President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a delegation from the foundation. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, Chairman of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, and Chairman of Erth Zayed Philanthropies, was also in attendance. Sheikh Mohamed was briefed on the foundation’s mission to support global humanitarian initiatives.
