UAE's Foreign Trade Reaches USD 1.4 Trillion in 2024

The UAE continues to solidify its position as a global trade hub, with foreign trade reaching AED 5.23 trillion (USD 1.4 trillion) in 2024 - a 49% increase from AED 3.5 trillion (USD 949 billion) in 2021.

In the same year, the country exported AED 650 billion worth of services, with digital services accounting for AED 191 billion, or 30% of total service exports. Goods exports also saw steady growth, reaching AED 2.2 trillion, marking a 6% rise from 2023. The UAE now represents 41% of total goods exports in the Middle East.

According to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE posted a trade surplus of over AED 490 billion in 2024. The country now ranks 11th globally in goods exports and 13th in services exports, according to a recent World Trade Organisation report.
