USD 245 Million Education Projects Launched in Saudi Arabia
75 new education projects valued at more than SAR 920 million have been completed ahead of the 2025–2026 academic year, alongside refurbishments and upgrades to over 15,000 existing facilities.

Over 75 new education construction projects, valued at more than SAR 920 million, have been completed ahead of the 2025–2026 academic year starting on September 1st. Spread across the kingdom, the new facilities aim to accommodate growing student populations and enhance learning environments.
Preparations for the school year also included large-scale upgrades and maintenance: over 15,000 school buildings and nearly 884,000 air-conditioning units have been serviced, while more than 1,400 educational facilities underwent refurbishment at a cost exceeding SAR 782 million. These efforts range from routine maintenance to significant infrastructure improvements.
The start of the academic year also marks a return to the two-semester system, replacing the three-semester calendar introduced four years ago.
