Ultimate Indoor Sports Extravaganza Returns at Dubai Sports World 2024
Dubai Sports World 2024 returns June 22nd to September 8th for an action-packed summer in a massive indoor sports venue.
Running until September 8th, the 14th edition of Dubai Sports World (DSW) promises an action-packed summer, transforming a massive 300,000 square feet into the region’s largest indoor sports destination.
Building on the success of last year’s event, which featured nine sports, an indoor cycling facility, 14 sports academies and an Active Fun Zone, this year’s DSW introduces several additions. Athletes and budding sports enthusiasts can expect to find a free gym, diverse activities, food trucks and a dedicated play area for children.
Spread over 30,000 square feet, DSW is offering 10 sporting activities across 40 courts, including volleyball, tennis, cricket, paddle, pickleball, and table tennis.
One of the highlights is the upgraded professional basketball court, where ex-NBA player Dale Ellis and Indian actor Rannvijay Singha recently showcased their skills. Another addition is Teqball, a dynamic sport played on a curved table that combines elements of football and table tennis. Cricket enthusiasts will appreciate the multiple pitches, including two equipped with bowling machines to practice spins and fastballs.
Fitness buffs can take advantage of the state-of-the-art CrossFit gym, open from 8 AM to 12 PM, offering free access to the equipment. Meanwhile, the expanded Kids World, featuring inflatable castles, rock climbing, and other fun activities, ensures children are entertained while parents enjoy their sports or workouts.
Additionally, Dubai Kids World will host an exciting summer camp and you can bring your kids to try the supervised soft play park for free from 8 AM to 11 AM.
DSW also emphasizes inclusivity, opening its doors to all community members. Special days are set aside for the elderly, delivery riders, taxi drivers, and others to enjoy the facilities. Badminton aficionados can revel in the 18 indoor courts, available for booking on the DSW website, with prices starting from Dh50 per hour.
Beyond sports, DSW hosts several free events, including a running club, yoga lessons, HIIT sessions, and other workouts, fostering a sense of community and encouraging residents to stay active throughout the summer.
