Unvaccinated Public Workers Barred From Entering Workplaces
Although it was initially announced in October, the decision has only recently gone into effect, and will also be applied to students, staff and employees in public universities.
All unvaccinated employees working in Egypt’s public sector are no longer allowed to enter their workplace until they get fully vaccinated or opt to present a negative PCR test weekly. Although it was initially announced in October, the decision has only recently gone into effect, and will also be applied to students, staff and employees in public universities.
So far, the Ministry of Health and Population has inoculated more than 26 million citizens against COVID-19 as part of its national vaccination campaign, including 90% of all university staff and employees, and over 50% of university students.
