Veteran Egyptian TV Presenter Mofeed Fawzy Passes Away

Famed Egyptian television presenter and journalist Mofeed Fawzy has recently passed away at the age of 89.

Having shaped Egyptian media since 1982, Fawzy is considered one of the first presenters in the country to capture his programs from Egyptian streets with his popular talk show, ‘Hadith El Madina’, which first came out in 1998. 

The renowned presenter was known for his provocative talk shows, having interviewed many Egyptian artists, politicians, and celebrities over the years, including the award-winning writer Naguib Mahfouz, popstar Amr Diab, and pioneering chemist Ahmed Zewail.
