World’s Largest Food Market Will Be Built in Dubai
Bloom Market is about to become the world’s largest air-conditioned fruits and vegetables market.
In an effort to achieve the goals of Dubai’s economic agenda, D33, which aims to double the emirate’s economy and transform it into one of the top three global economic cities by 2033, the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is directing the establishment of the world’s largest food, vegetables and fruits market, Bloom Market, in Dubai.
To accommodate the approximately 66,000 sqm market, Dubai plans to double the current market area to accommodate a much larger population of food shops. This allows Bloom Market to hold an extensive array of local produce, imported goods, and organic products. The development and management of the market, as well as connecting it with global markets, will be done by the Dubai World Ports Group.
