Jude Benhalim Brings Its Design Language Into the Home
Candle holders, vessels and sculptural objects mark the jewellery house's first venture into homeware after 15 years.
What does a jewellery house bring to the world of interiors? After fifteen years of creating jewellery, Cairo-based Jude Benhalim is addressing that question with its first Home Collection, a series of candle holders, vessels and decorative objects that translate the brand's jewellery aesthetic into everyday interiors.
The collection took almost two years to develop, with the workshop adapting its techniques to produce objects at a larger scale. New moulds were created, materials were tested and prototypes were reworked throughout the process. "For almost two years, we were learning as we went," says Founder and Creative Director Jude Benhalim. "Suddenly, everything had to become bigger, the pieces, the process, the way we worked. There were days we genuinely didn't know if we could make the pieces we designed. So we kept trying."

Made from hand-poured resin, 21k gold-plated brushed brass, 925 silver-plated brass and glass, the collection includes candle holders, vessels and sculptural objects, each finished by hand. Reflecting on the experience, Benhalim says, "Somewhere along the way, it stopped feeling like we were making a collection. We were changing the way we create. Our workshop adapted. Our team adapted. And so did I."
The collection also considers how everyday objects become part of a home's routines over time. "I've always believed that the things we keep close to us gather meaning over time," Benhalim explains. "I began to wonder whether an object in your home could do the same. Their story doesn't end in our workshop. It begins around your tables, within your rituals, and beside the people you love."
To mark the launch, Jude Benhalim is introducing the collection through two campaign films, 'The Natural Extension' and 'Home as Life', which explore the everyday rituals and moments these objects are designed to accompany. As the campaign puts it, "A home is not defined by its objects, but by the life that unfolds around them."
The Home Collection is now available across Jude Benhalim stores in Cairo and at the brand's Diplo North Coast boutique.
