Heineken to Build Gulf’s First Large-Scale Brewery in Dubai

Dubai is set to host the Gulf region's first large-scale brewery as Sirocco, a joint venture between Heineken NV and Dubai-based Maritime and Mercantile International, prepares to begin construction next year.

With completion anticipated by 2027, the brewery will produce popular brands such as Heineken, Kingfisher, Amstel, and Birra Moretti, aiming to meet growing demand in a market fueled by over 17 million annual tourists.

Aiming to attract global businesses and boost tourism, this move follows Dubai’s recent scrapping of a 30% alcohol sales tax and liquor license fees.
