Palestinian-Egyptian Writer Mai Serhan Hosts Dahshur Writing Retreat

Ardi Dahshur, a countryside retreat and events space outside Cairo, will host a three-day writing retreat from April 16th to 18th led by Palestinian-Egyptian writer Mai Serhan, author of ‘I Can Imagine It For Us: A Palestinian Daughter’s Memoir’ and ‘CAIRO: The Undelivered Letters’.

Titled ‘Based on True Events: Memoir Writing With Mai Serhan’, the programme focuses on memoir writing through guided sessions covering voice development, structure and narrative technique. Participants will work through writing exercises, prompts and discussions designed to build personal storytelling skills and deepen engagement with memory and observation.
