15 Egyptian-Italian Hospitality Schools to Open in 2026/2027
Developed with Italian education partners, the new schools form part of a broader technical education expansion.
Fifteen Egyptian-Italian applied technology schools specialising in hospitality will open for the 2026/2027 academic year, expanding vocational education through a partnership between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and Italian training institutions.
Operating under the 8ones brand, the schools will deliver curricula developed with Italy's ENGIM–Farma–Giulio Natta Academy and San Paolo Hospitality Academy, combining classroom instruction with practical training in real working environments. According to the ministry, the initiative aims to modernise technical education, strengthen international and industry partnerships, and prepare graduates for careers in productive and service sectors.
Three schools will be established in partnership with ENGIM–Farma–Giulio Natta Academy in Talkha, Beni Suef and Kafr El Zayat, while the remaining 12 schools, developed with San Paolo Hospitality Academy, will be located across Aswan, Sohag, Assiut, Fayoum, Beheira, Giza, Cairo, Alexandria and Suez. The October Applied Technology School in Giza will offer programmes in both hospitality and filmmaking.
The new schools are part of an Egyptian-Italian technical education partnership signed in November 2025, which covers 89 applied technology schools under 18 cooperation protocols. Including the latest hospitality schools, at least 68 of the planned schools have now been announced for the 2026/2027 academic year. Applications will be accepted through the Ministry of Education and Technical Education's technical education portal.
The Applied Technology Schools model was introduced in 2018 and had expanded to 115 schools by the end of 2025. The hospitality-focused expansion comes as Egypt continues to grow its tourism sector and hotel capacity, increasing demand for professionally trained workers.
