Absher Adds Electronic Authorisation Across 23 Services

Absher now allows users to electronically authorise another person to complete 23 selected procedures on their behalf through the platform’s Individuals services.

According to Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports, the services include issuing and cancelling exit and re-entry visas and final exit visas, issuing and renewing passports, extending visit visas, and issuing and renewing iqamas.

Electronic authorisation is also available for receiving printed iqamas and passports, reporting lost or damaged passports and lost iqamas, adding or removing dependents, and reporting absconding workers.

Other covered procedures include transferring a dependent’s status to head of household, changing professions, transferring services and information, registering a ‘left and not returned’ status, authorising resident services and checking previous passports.

Users can view existing authorisations and cancel them directly through Absher Individuals.

To issue an authorisation, the user’s national identity card or iqama must be valid. Both the person granting the authorisation and the person receiving it must also be free of any violations or financial restrictions relevant to the service being delegated.
