Seif Eissa defeated Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion Vladislav Larin 2–0 to win Grand Prix gold in South Korea, adding another major title to his international record.
The Egyptian Olympic bronze medallist overcame one of taekwondo’s most decorated heavyweights in the final, with Larin having won Olympic gold in the +80kg division at Tokyo 2020.
The result continues Eissa’s run at the top of the sport following his Olympic bronze in 2021 and world championship title in 2025, with Grand Prix gold now joining his growing list of major honours.
