Egypt's Unemployment Rate Falls to 5.8% From 13% Since 2014

Egypt’s unemployment rate has fallen to 5.8%, down from around 13% in 2014, according to Labour Minister Hassan Raddad.
The latest figure was announced in Cairo during the launch of the ‘General Rules for the Regulation of Work in Private Sector Companies and Establishments’.
The decline has coincided with expanded investment, national projects, training programmes linked to employment and continued cooperation with the private sector to create job opportunities for young people.
Raddad said current labour policies are also focused on improving workforce skills, increasing employment opportunities and strengthening job security and stability.
The government is positioning these measures alongside broader efforts to support investment and production while improving conditions across the labour market.
