Saudi Date Exports Hit Record USD 517 Million in 2025
Export value rose 14.3% year-on-year and nearly 60% since 2021, supported by expanded production and global market reach.
Saudi Arabia’s date exports reached a record USD 517 million in 2025, reflecting a 14.3% increase compared to 2024 and a 59.5% rise from 2021.
The total export value equalled SAR 1.938 billion, highlighting sustained growth in international sales as demand for Saudi date varieties continues to expand across global markets.
Officials linked the performance to broader economic diversification efforts, with the agricultural sector playing an increasing role in non-oil exports. The figures also reflect improvements in production capacity and processing across the industry.
Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli said the growth has been supported by collaboration between public and private stakeholders, alongside initiatives aimed at strengthening export capabilities and expanding market access.
Saudi dates are now exported to more than 125 countries, with the sector maintaining its position through adherence to quality standards and increased output.
Production exceeded 1.9 million tonnes in 2025, supported by more than 37 million palm trees across the country, underscoring the scale of the industry and its contribution to agricultural output.
