Beirut & Beyond Announces 2025 Lineup for December 4-6

Beirut & Beyond International Music Festival has announced its full lineup ahead of its December 4th-6th dates at Metro Al Madina. The event makes a welcome return after its 2024 edition was cancelled, amidst instability in Lebanon.

Keen to make up for lost time, the festival has put together a solid lineup featuring several standout collaborations, with many of the artists performing in Lebanon for the first time.

Day one features Bethlehem, an electro-acoustic work co-composed by Beirut musicians Sary Moussa and Abed Kobeissy with the head of the Church of the Nativity choir, Lawrence Sammour, responding to the current events in Bethlehem. Also performing on the opening day are  multidisciplinary artist Farah Azrak, who focuses on voice performance and sound, and Wet Silhouette, a Lebanese trio offering improvised performances that blend freeform rock and noise.

The second day is heavy on hip-hop, trap and electronic innovation, with Palestinian-Norwegian rapper Awtaf, whose music explores displacement and resilience; Palestinian-German artist Dakn, known for his thought-provoking Arabic lyrics; and a collaboration between Baraari and Julmud from Palestine, which fuses Arabic melodies with Julmud’s experimental electronic production. The day also includes appearances by hip-hop and trap duo Wari and Ghanim, and acclaimed Tunisian DJ and electronic composer Deena Abdelwahed, who has garnered a following for merging Arabic musical influences with club sounds.

The festival came to a close on day three with powerful collaborations and cross-genre explorations, not least Charbel Haber, Nicolás Jaar and Sary Moussa, a three-way collaboration between the celebrated Lebanese musicians and the Chilean American experimental artist. The day also features Bonne Chose, a Lebanese fusion trio whose varying style slides between experimental jazz, psychedelic rock and synth wave. Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Kaddour and Tohme come together to deconstruct folkloric tunes using buzuq and electronics, and Egyptian-Iranian-American rapper and producer Nader Khalil, who brings his raw, innovative sound tackles identity and resistance to the stage.

Founded in 2013, Beirut & Beyond was conceived as a platform to showcase and support original and independent artists from the MENA region, as a response to the lack of industry infrastructure. The festival champions diversity across genres and, in addition to music programmes, it also runs a professional programme featuring workshops and networking sessions, aiming to connect regional talent with the global music industry.

Pre-sale tickets are available via Metro Al Madina (online and onsite at venue).
