Egyptian Electronic Trio TLT Debuts Funky IDM Single ‘Mesh Nayem’

Rising Egyptian electronic trio TLT debuts a funky IDM single ‘Mesh Nayem’. The track features idiosyncratic lyrics and intricate production, merging elements from 90s jazz and funk with IDM and dance music.

TLT, composed of lead singer Belal Ali, keyboardist and producer Tarek Hussien, and bassist Mohamed Mallawy, uses unusual drum patterns, distorted sounds and short synths bleeps and glitches to sonically encapsulate the complexity of human emotions, and the sense of confusion one experiences when trying to respond to the mundane question of ‘How are you doing?’ The track’s layered, deep and experimental nature is a fresh effort on electronic music; one that is quite absurd yet all too enticing at once.
