Maraganat star Essam Sasa has secured the title of the Middle East and North Africa's (MENA) most listened-to artist on Spotify this year. Sasa's signature style fuses EDM, traditional Arabic melodies, and elements of pop. His chart-topping tracks like 'Wst Dmoo' W Gerah', ‘Mesa Meni Leko,’ and ‘La Ya Alby Mhbaktsh,’ have allowed him to amass over 1.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Sasa's impact spans across diverse platforms. His track 'La Ya Alby Mhbaktsh,' featuring vocalist Camio El Deeb, found fame on TikTok and garnered a staggering 3.5 million views on YouTube within a mere two weeks of its release.

The rise of Egyptian music throughout the region has piqued Spotify's interest. Seven out of the top ten most-streamed Arab artists in the MENA region hail from Egypt, highlighting the abundance of talent emanating from the country's vibrant music scene. Alongside Essam Sasa, the most-streamed artists in MENA include rapper Wegz and pop sensation Amr Diab.
