Moroccan Rapper Dollypran Shows Off Slick Flows on ‘N13’

Since he entered the scene in 2018, Moroccan rapper, Dollypran has managed to amass a massive following while making his mark within one of the region’s most competitive rap scenes.

Over the years, he has come to be known for his self-contained, moody atmospheres, intricate lyrics and wicked flow. After spending years as a ghostwriter for other rappers, Dollypran took to the mic in 2012, launching his solo career that continues to boom today.

It was his 2018 single ‘Taach’ that put him on the map, and in the time after he continued to release an outpouring of drill and trap tracks that culminated with his 2021 debut album ‘Traitment’.

In many ways, ‘Traitement’ was a brilliant showcase of the artist’s versatility and talent while effortlessly switching between French and Arabic. Later, he released a follow-up EP in 2022, ‘MixDeep’, helping him to accumulate over 41 million views on YouTube across his tracks.

In his recent track, ‘N13’ produced by OG, we hear a more mature Dollypran, as he hones in on his flow which is masterfully brought to life by a gnarly and guttural trap beat. In the animated visualizer for the track, created by Amine Houmam and Yasser Koudoussi, we see an illustrated Dollypran abstracted from reality, where gunfire becomes a cloud of thought pointing to his unrelenting creativity.
