In this edition of our Rap of the Week playlist, we scan through the regional hip-hop scene to highlight the best releases we’ve heard across countries. Spanning various genres and styles, this list features new music by Vortex, Hady Moamer and Stormy.

Hady Moamer has released his latest track ‘Qemet El Waga3’, taking a notably different direction from his latest album ‘Ma3koos’. Hady crafts an ethereal dream-like soundscape featuring delicate synth work layered on top of minimal percussions, over which he throws in verses with several flow changes across the three-minute track.

Further down the playlist we see Moroccan superstar rapper Stormy on his latest EP ‘Omega’ delivering a versatile body of work that spans several genres. From the EP we select the standout ‘Pirate’ which blends in heavy African rhythms infused with experimental production elements that complement Stormy’s performance.

Also featured on the playlist is new music by Vortex with ‘Kung Fu’, Samara with ‘Sans Papier’, and Hyper249 and Cosmicat’s latest link up on ‘Khareeta’.
