Utrecht’s Nawafiz Reveals First Wave of Artists For 2025 Lineup

After a standout debut last May—where Egyptian rap star Marwan Moussa, mahraganat duo El Sawareekh, and Syrian-German electronic outfit Shkoon brought the region’s sounds to Utrecht—Nawafiz Festival returns to TivoliVredenburg on May 24th, continuing to spotlight the evolving sounds and deep-rooted heritage of SWANA music.

With the first wave of its 2024 lineup now revealed, this year’s edition will feature Palestinian singer-songwriter Lina Makoul, Lebanese rap powerhouse El Rass, Egyptian shaabi/rap duo Double Zuksh, and the genre-blurring Lebanese-Syrian duo Bedouin Burger. Also joining the bill are Egyptian artist Ahmed Eid, Syrian DJ and producer Noise Diva, as well as Abarra, Atay Collective, Baby Ganoush, and Arabella Memdouh, promising a dynamic mix of styles.
