Morocco's Iman Chliha Styles Palestinian Label Benzene
Scene Styled teamed up with Benzene to spotlight their winter collection in a styling collab with Moroccan stylist Iman Chliha.
Palestinian-founded, Paris-built luxury label Benzene has just dropped its winter collection.
To mark the release, and in the spirit of the African Cup of Nations buzz, the label curated a three-day pop-up in Marrakesh filled with music, community, and cross-regional talent orbiting the drop. It kicked off with a secret-location party with Boukan Records, tapping into electronic and experimental frequencies alongside Keep Hush, before moving into a two-day showroom at The Plug Gallery.
Scene Styled teamed up with Benzene to spotlight their new Winter collection in a styling collab with Moroccan stylist Iman Chliha. As she shares with Scene Styled, her approach to styling the collection is all about “balancing tradition and modernity without needing to separate the two.” Using layering as her approach, she mixes mostly thrifted and vintage pieces with Benzene staples.
To show the versatility of the collection, it was important for Chilha for the looks “to feel flexible and adaptable, transforming depending on what they’re paired with and who is wearing them.” But the connecting thread across all four looks was the color red, “representing strength, presence, and heritage.”
To show off the collection’s versatility, Chliha wanted the looks to “feel flexible and adaptable, changing depending on what they’re styled with and who’s wearing them.” The one bold thread running through all four? The colour red: a punchy symbol of “strength, presence, and heritage” for Chilha.
