Styled Archives: Anoushka’s Most Memorable Moments

Egyptian-Armenian actress and singer Anoushka has been a household name in Egypt for years, oozing class both on and off screen. Rising to fame in the late '80s and early '90s, her career as a musician was typified by the blend of traditional and contemporary music, with songs like ‘Belad Teba’ with Mohamed Mounir. However, it was through acting that she really made her mark. From soap operas to TV shows, she captivated her viewers with her performances as ‘Grand Hotel’, ‘Saraya Abdeen’, and ‘Halawet El Donya’.

Aside from her professional life, Anoushka's presence in the public eye has always been complemented by a signature elegance. Her personal style is a manifestation of her character; timeless, and commanding. She has a reputation for favouring graceful dresses, elegant cuts and sophisticated colours, often draping herself in black, gemstone-like colors, and lavish trims. Perhaps her most-immediately, recognizable signature is her cropped, impeccably coiffed hair, a look that echoes the elegance of 1960s Hollywood starlets.

This classic blue floor-length gown perfectly encapsulates her approach to fashion—clean lines, a flattering cut, and an emphasis on grace. The  cinched waist and soft pleats give it a Grecian-inspired drape. With her hair styled in a soft updo and minimal accessories, the focus remained on the beauty of the silhouette and the way it moved as she performed.

A frequent choice in her wardrobe, Anoushka’s black ensembles never feel dull. Whether it’s a beaded halter dress with intricate detailing like this moment, gown or structured suit, she understands how to make dark hues feel rich and opulent. Her ability to mix textures—lace, sequins, velvet—adds depth to monochromatic looks, as well.

It’s easy to associate Anoushka with elegance, but this look proves she can do casual just as effortlessly, in a lilac tank top with a hint of shimmer, paired with light-wash denim and barely-there makeup. There’s something effortless about it—nothing is overly styled, nothing feels forced with the washed-out pastel tones and the loose curls add a touch of undone coolness.

The silhouette is sleek, hugging her figure in all the right places, while the lace overlay adds texture and romance.

This is Anoushka at her most classic—an ultra-polished black-and-white dress with a deep V-neckline that instantly commands attention. The contrast is crisp and dramatic, and then there’s the jewelry—chunky, geometric gold pieces that make a statement, and a perfect red manicure.

There’s something about jewel tones that just work on stage, and this emerald green halter dress is no exception. The deep, rich shade complements her complexion perfectly. The dress is adorned with a flowing fabric that moves beautifully under the stage lights, and a halter, plunging neckline.
