Marriott to Open Over 20 New Hotels in Turkey by 2025

Marriott International has unveiled plans to broaden its footprint in Turkey, with ambitions to incorporate more than 20 properties and almost 3,000 rooms by the conclusion of 2025. This move is poised to generate a multitude of job openings within the travel and hospitality industry.

Alongside the introduction of a dedicated program in collaboration with a hospitality school to provide students with practical training and work experience at Marriott properties nationwide, the global hotelier is embarking on an expansion drive to increase its portfolio of properties across various brand segments, including luxury, premium, select, and midscale.

The company has recently unveiled the Four Points Express by Sheraton brand, in response to the increasing demand for dependable yet budget-friendly accommodation in the region. Turkey is positioned to emerge as a pivotal market for this brand, with proposed properties in Ankara, Antalya, and Istanbul.

As for the premium segment, Marriott is gearing up to launch Moxy Hotels in Turkey, alongside expansions of AC Hotels, Aloft Hotels, and Residence Inn by Marriott. Additionally, the company is planning to introduce its inaugural properties in Cappadocia and Usak under the Marriott and Sheraton brands.

Wrapping up its expansions, Marriott is set to enhance its presence in the luxury segment with the addition of Legacy Ottoman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Istanbul, slated for 2025. This comes after the recent inauguration of Sanasaryan Han, another Luxury Collection Hotel, Istanbul, further solidifying Marriott's footprint in the city's upscale hospitality scene.

With a rich operational history in Turkey extending over four decades, Marriott presently oversees a robust portfolio comprising more than 50 properties across seven cities and encompassing 20 distinct brands.
