Al Arish University Builds Central Sinai’s 1st Faculty of Engineering
The developments come as the university prepares to open its Digital Innovation Centre this October.
Al Arish University has announced a number of plans to enhance its campuses, including the creation of the first Faculty of Engineering campus in Central Sinai. The university also plans to diversify the crops grown at its Al Arish farm by planting coffee, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture.
The university’s farm already grows lemon, olives, wheat, barley and grapes. The farm is also the site of olive oil extraction, and the breeding of cows and goats.
The university also plans to enhance its fish farming practices, and aims to produce 500 to 1,000 kilos of fish per week, and around 30 tonnes per year.
The developments come as the university prepares to open its Digital Innovation Centre this October.
