Noor City Project to Become Egypt's First Green Smart City
Egypt’s first green smart city, the Noor Capital Gardens Project, will cost USD 32 billion and will be located right across from the New Administrative Capital.
Egyptian real estate developer Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG) and the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) have partnered to launch Egypt’s first green smart city, the Noor Capital Gardens Project. The project will cost USD 32 billion, or EGP 500 billion.
TMG announced that the mega development would be located right across from the New Administrative Capital and will span 5,000 acres and house 140,000 residential units. The city will accommodate a total of 600,000 people, create 3.3 million job opportunities and generate an estimated tax revenue of 110 billion pounds.
Some of the most prominent names in architecture and urban planning - including SWA, SASAKI, BCG and Perkins Eastman - are joining in to set the foundations of the project.
The project is part of the National Sustainable Development Strategy ‘Egypt 2030’, which looks to change consumer behaviors, spread environmental awareness and urge Egyptians to protect the environment and their natural resources.
