The Fake Work From Home Edit

When you’ve just filed your third ‘remote work request’ this month to fire off KPI emails from a poolside bar in Greece.

The Fake Work From Home Edit

You’ve submitted the form, changed your Slack status, and even colour-coded your Google Calendar to look convincingly chaotic. But let’s be honest - you’re not working from home, you’re working from anywhere but. From pool loungers in Paros to “co-working” cafés with suspiciously good natural light, fake WFH has evolved into a full-blown lifestyle, and the wardrobe has adapted accordingly.

This isn’t about corporate athleisure or “desk to dinner” flexibility, it’s about strategic dressing for beachside brainstorms, faux client calls on mute, and sending PDFs you haven’t read while sipping something with a sprig of mint in it. It’s fashion with the illusion of function - kaftans that whisper productivity, swimsuits that pass for bodysuits, and jewellery bold enough to distract from your actual screen.

The items ahead are for the girl who files a leave request after she’s already landed. The one whose Gmail auto-responder is active, but somehow still replies faster than her boss. Think of this as your curated toolkit for performance - not in the boardroom, but in the group chat. Because if you’re going to fake work from home, you might as well look hot doing it.

Missoni | Zigzag Swimsuit

The print says "heritage luxury," but the context says “please ignore the Aperol in frame.” Just enough fabric to convince your manager you're “by the water” and not in it.

Double A | Callie Leather Shorts in Butter Yellow

The colour of fresh Amalfi lemons and the price of a delayed expense report. Structured enough to pass for smart casual on Zoom, breezy enough to take to brunch straight after.

Double A | Ophelia II Oversized Leather Bag in Butter Yellow

Technically fits a laptop, spiritually holds nothing but tinted sunscreen and tax-free receipts. Ideal for “remote working” from a beachfront coworking space that doesn’t exist.

Rat and Boa | Sabbine Dress

For when your OOO says “back Monday,” but your dress says “staying till Wednesday.” Airy, dramatic, and designed for sending passive-aggressive Slacks from a speedboat.

Sol De Janeiro | Cheirosa 87 Rio Radiance SPF

You could wear this indoors, but where’s the drama in that? Smells like coconut, nostalgia, and an HR violation waiting to happen.

Nadine Ghosn | Veggie Burger Ring

Sits on your hand while you type “touching base” for the fifth time. Loud enough to distract from the fact you’re emailing from a cabana.

APOA | The Gana Choker

The neckpiece equivalent of a carefully timed Wi-Fi glitch. Slightly medieval, extremely editorial - perfect for fake crises and real cocktails.

Essentiel Antwerp | Striped Knit Maxi Dress

Out-of-office energy in a knit that stretches from espresso to aperitivo. The keyhole detail says: “Ask me what I’m wearing, I dare you.”

Leem | V-Neck Gradient Pink Kaftan

Looks like you drifted in on a cloud of rose water and PTO. Ideal for replying “Sent from my phone” while horizontal.

Flabelus | Smollet

The shoe of choice for “creative director energy” at 11am and dancing badly at 11pm. Basically, if espadrilles went to art school.

Byredo | Bal d’Afrique Perfume

Spray once for ambience, twice for alibi. The scent of a woman who says she’s in a strategy meeting but is actually on a Vespa.

Asteri | Alchemy Shadowliner

Two swipes and your eyes say “deadline met” even if your soul doesn’t. Works overtime when your Slack status is faking it.

Oceanus | Selene Shell Swimsuit

If Venus emerged from the sea during a performance review, she’d be wearing this. Glittering, sculptural, and unbothered by deliverables.

Nazeerah | The Khepri Capsule

Statement set designed to stun on Teams and stun again at dinner. Channeling rebirth, reinvention, and a subtle IDGAF.

Port Tanger | Mektoub in Black Acetate

Serious frames for unserious behaviour. Pairs best with a PDF you didn’t read and a mimosa you didn’t order - it just arrived.
