10th Adam Henein Prize Opens Submissions for Young Sculptors

The Adam Henein Prize for Young Sculptors has opened submissions for its 10th edition, running from September 15th to November 30th, 2025, as part of the 2025 to 2026 cycle. The programme, managed by the Adam Henein Foundation for Fine Arts, targets emerging sculptors in Egypt and the Arab world by providing a platform to present original work. Eligibility in this edition requires applicants to be under 40 years old and to submit one original work that has not been exhibited in any show or competition and has not received any award. The submitted piece must be original and not adapted from another work. Only one entry is permitted per artist, and a multi-part composition is counted as a single work. The maximum allowed volume for each work is half a cubic metre. Applications are completed via the foundation’s website, including high-quality photographs of the work from multiple angles, full work data and dimensions, a curriculum vitae in Arabic in Word format, and a personal photograph of the artist. The timeline sets December 15th for the first-stage results, March 1st to 10th for final work submission, and March 20th for the final results. The foundation will award three prizes: EGP 75,000 for first place, EGP 50,000 for second place, and EGP 25,000 for third place. Works that pass both selection rounds will be exhibited at Hanager Arts Centre during the awards event. Over the past nine editions, the competition received around 1,300 entries, with more than 270 artists showing in its exhibitions and more than 30 winners receiving awards.
