Haya Karima's 'Roaming Theatre' to Perform Across Egypt's Countryside
145 nights of performances out of the scheduled 200 will be presented in the villages targeted in the ‘Hayah Karima’ presidential initiative, starting as of this month until mid-January.
The Ministry of Culture has announced the launch of the second phase of the Roaming Theatre, which will include shows in 200 Egyptian villages across 21 governorates. The ‘Confrontation and Roaming Theatre’, or ‘Tgwal Theatre’, was inaugurated back in March in Qena, with the intention of spreading arts and culture throughout the countryside.
145 nights of performances out of the scheduled 200 will be presented in the villages targeted in the ‘Haya Karima’ presidential initiative, starting as of this month until mid-January. The 'Haya Karima' campaign has been responsible for upgrading and rejuvenating the Egyptian countryside, whether it's through medical outreach, job creation, renovations, or the installation of infrastructure such as water, electricity and fibre optic internet.
