Mona Zaki’s New Film ‘Rehla 404’ to Hit Theatres on January 25th

Mona Zaki’s ‘Rehla 404’ released its first poster today, signalling its coming arrival (pun intended) in Egyptian cinemas on January 25th and across Arab theatres on February 1st. The film centres on Ghada, portrayed by Zaki, confronting an unexpected crisis just days before her pilgrimage to Mecca.

Screenwriter Mohamed Ragaa, recipient of the Sawiris Award in 2015, crafted a narrative that remains shrouded in mystery, refusing to divulge details and urging audiences to experience the story firsthand. Director Hani Khalifa, in his first collaboration with Ragaa, describes ‘Rehla 404’ as a unique cinematic venture, “I believe that everyone who sees the movie would identify with its predicament on a personal level. In essence, there is no way to forecast the events.”

"I fell in love with the film from the first time I read the script, the way it is told, the characters, and the plot that spans three days," expresses lead actress Mona Zaki, reflecting on the film's prolonged journey.

Rehla 404’s cast includes Mohamed Farrag, Mohamed Mamdouh, Shereen Reda, Khaled El-Sawi, Mohamed Alaa, and guest appearances. Produced by Film Clinic and Lagoonie Film Production, in collaboration with Arabia Pictures Entertainment and Hi Media Production, the film will be distributed by Misr International Films domestically and Front Row Filmed Entertainment internationally.
