Ramy Youssef Will Host Saturday Night Live on March 30th

Egyptian-American comedian, actor and writer Ramy Youssef is coming to ‘Saturday Night Live’. Airing March 30th, the next episode of the popular US variety show will feature Youssef alongside musical guest Travis Scott.

SNL, America’s longest-running late-night comedy show, is famous for its celebrity guests and live sketches. The popular show is widely regarded as a comedic institution, and hosting the show is a sought-after honour for celebrities.

Starring in SNL is not Youssef’s only recent accomplishment. On March 23rd, the actor, writer, and comedian will release his upcoming special, ‘Ramy Youssef: More Feelings’. This special promises to touch on topics that include the 2024 US presidential election, the importance of prayer, and a book report he wrote as a child. The filming of this special was preceded by a highly successful comedy tour. Youssef donated 100% of the proceeds from at least twelve of these shows to Gaza relief.

This new special follows his highly successful inaugural comedy special, ‘Ramy Youssef: Feelings’, which debuted on HBO in 2020. This special received a nomination for the Critics’ Choice Awards as well as a Writers Guild Award. In addition to these awards, Youssef has also won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series, Musical, or Comedy, as well as a Peabody Award for his portrayal of Ramy Hassan on the Hulu comedy series ‘Ramy’ (2019–2022).

A vocal supporter of Palestine, the ‘Poor Things’ actor attended last night’s 2024 Oscars wearing a ceasefire pin.
