Zawya Screens 'Wara'et Shafra' to Celebrate Film Clinic's Anniversary

Twenty years after its release, the cult comedy Wara’et Shafra (2008) still stands as a turning point in Egyptian cinema, introducing a new wave of absurdist, situation-driven humor that launched Ahmed Fahmy, Hesham Maged, and Shico into stardom.

To mark its 20th anniversary, Film Clinic will open its celebratory program with a special screening of Wara’et Shafra, the company’s very first production, on September 24th, 2025.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with producer and Film Clinic founder Mohamed Hefzy, in conversation with award-winning director Ahmad Abdallah.The full Film Clinic x Zawya program, including lineup, schedule, and booking details, will be announced soon.
