Omniconn Becomes First GCC Company to Earn AI Safety Certification
The certification validates its Platform 4.0 system which integrates building technologies for real-time monitoring and control.
Omniconn, a UAE-based AI-powered IoT company, has become the first company in the GCC to achieve UL 3115 certification, a global standard developed by UL Solutions for the safe and ethical use of artificial intelligence in safety-critical systems.
The certification follows an assessment of Omniconn’s Platform 4.0, which brings together IoT devices, building management systems and operational technologies into a single control interface. The system connects infrastructure such as sensors, fire systems and HVAC networks to enable real-time monitoring, predictive analytics and automated responses.
“Being the first company in the region to achieve UL3115 certification marks a major milestone for Omniconn and for AI innovation developed in the UAE,” Ibrahim Lari said.
UL 3115 evaluates how AI systems perform in high-risk environments, with a focus on reliability, governance and human oversight. The framework is designed to ensure that systems operate predictably while meeting international safety and compliance standards.
Omniconn said its platform is used to improve building performance across areas such as energy use, operational efficiency and system coordination, while also supporting cybersecurity and reducing downtime through centralised control.
