UAE-based Web3 banking startup Klickl has closed a $25 million Series A funding round, achieving a valuation of $125 million. The round was co-led by Web3Port Foundation and Aptos Labs, with participation from Summer Ventures, Heritage Horizon Capital, V2 Capital, Alpha Square Group, Heng Feng Group, Trend Investment, and Bond Group.
Founded in 2017, Klickl is a Web3 open finance platform that provides a range of services, including banking, digital payments, and crypto trading. The newly secured funding will enable the company to expand its Web3 banking services, particularly targeting emerging markets across the MENA region and beyond.
A key initiative in Klickl’s expansion plans is the launch of Klickl Labs in Q4 2024, in collaboration with Summer Ventures. This new venture aims to drive strategic joint ventures and incubate scalable solutions focused on cross-border remittance and digital payment infrastructure.
In addition, Klickl plans to establish the Klickl Foundation, which will invest in the Web3 ecosystem and work to set new standards in the PayFi industry. Web3Port Foundation will play a crucial role in supporting Klickl’s expansion by leveraging its expertise in tokenomics to further the adoption of Web3 technology. Aptos Labs, known for its blockchain technology, will also provide support to enhance Klickl’s security and performance standards.
