Between September 2023 and February 2024, Egypt's agricultural exports of vegetables and fruits totaled approximately 2.82 million tons, valued at around USD 2 billion. Citrus fruits alone accounted for 1.143 million tons, generating USD 576 million, constituting 40% of the export volume and 29% of the total export value.
Top importers of Egyptian produce include Saudi Arabia, Russia and Britain, highlighting Egypt's growing prominence in global agricultural markets.
