14 Urban Developments Will Be Implemented in North Sinai
The North Sinai Development Vision is slated for completion in 2030.
The Egyptian Cabinet has approved the construction of 14 urban development clusters in North Sinai, as part of the initiative to accelerate developmental and service projects in the region.
In November, during a conference in Arish, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly revealed the North Sinai Development Vision, encompassing 302 projects valued at EGP 363 billion.
Madbouly underscored the significance of ‘advancing North Sinai's development to thwart potential exploitation by foreign nations,’ referencing reports of an Israeli proposal to move Palestinians from Gaza to the Sinai Peninsula.
For almost ten years, there have been ongoing development initiatives across multiple sectors in Sinai, with investments surpassing EGP 600 billion.
